    Executive Assistant to the Chief Executive Officer
    The ideal candidate will be experienced in handling a wide range of administrative and executive support related tasks and will be able to work independently with little or no supervision. This person must be exceedingly well organized, flexible and enjoy the administrative challenges of supporting a small office of diverse role and working with external Managers off-site.

     

    The ability to interact with staff (at all levels) in a fast paced environment, sometimes under pressure, remaining flexible, proactive, resourceful and efficient, with a high level of professionalism and confidentiality is crucial to this role. Expert level written and verbal communication skills, strong decision making ability and attention to detail are equally important.


    MUST HAVE:
    • 3+ years experience supporting at the executive level
    • Excellent calendar management skills, including the coordination of complex executive meetings
    • Experience assisting management with the creation of PowerPoint presentations
    • Strong knowledge of MS Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
    • High degree of cultural awareness, sensitivity and competence
    • Be available in school holidays and flexibility for evening work when necessary
    • Be prepared to travel between TYLA offices and other venues as required
    • Experience scheduling travel arrangements for management

     

    STRONGLY PREFER:
    • Support experience in the not for profit sector.
    • Experience successfully creating and/or modifying processes
    • Tertiary Business Administration Diploma


    Hours: part-time 20hrs

    Location: TYLA Trust Head Office, Greenlane.

    We are looking for a Youth Worker to join the New Zealand Police working on the TYLA Youth Development Trust based at the TYLA Central West Office in Avondale, Auckland City District.

    The purpose of this position is to contribute to improving the effectiveness of Policing in the local community by working with young people at risk and their families. You will provide a service to the Police and the public to address and promote the reduction of child and youth offending within the programme area.

    The successful candidate will hold a current full drivers licence and preference will be given to those with a Social Work Degree or Diploma Level Five. Registration, or membership of a professional body or working towards registration, will be desirable.

    To be successful in this role you will need to:

    Demonstrate an understanding of the CYP&F Act (1989) and Care of Children Act (2004) and a working knowledge of the CYP&F Act (1989); 

     

    Demonstrate knowledge and ability to work with children and their families using a case management approach including; identification of risk factors, assessment, plan development and monitoring;

     

    Demonstrate the ability to electronically record and report client data;

     

    Demonstrate the ability to practice in a manner that is culturally appropriate and consistent with the principles of Te Tiriti O Waitangi.
